FLORIDA COACHES COALITION

About Us
The Florida Coaches Coalition (FCC) was founded with a single, powerful mission: to give every high school coach in the state of Florida a voice.
What began from a hashtag (#PayFLCoaches) has grown into the largest and most influential coaches organization in the state, representing more than 16,000 coaches across 600 schools.

Our History
The FCC was born out of necessity. For decades, coaches across Florida dedicated their lives to mentoring student-athletes, building programs, and shaping the future of countless young people. Yet, despite their impact, coaches often lacked the representation and resources they deserved. There were growing concerns about low coaching stipends, limited professional development opportunities, and a lack of advocacy at the state level.
Recognizing this need, Dr. Andrew Ramjit (then County Athletic Director of Brevard Public Schools) with little support decided to create a statewide organization that would advocate for fair compensation, professional growth, and improved working conditions for every coach in Florida. That vision became reality with the founding of the Florida Coaches Coalition. Since then, the FCC has grown rapidly, building partnerships with legislators, universities, athletic associations, and corporate sponsors to amplify the voice of Florida’s coaching community.

Our Advocacy
At the heart of the FCC is advocacy. Whether it is securing minimum wage protections for coaches, expanding professional development opportunities, or ensuring that athletics remains a central part of education, the FCC leads the charge on behalf of the coaching profession.
Our Commitment
The Florida Coaches Coalition is committed to building a better future for coaches and student -athletes alike. Through our advocacy, professional development programs, and statewide network, we are creating a stronger, more unified coaching community.
As we look ahead, our goal remains clear: to elevate the coaching profession in Florida, ensure every coach is respected and supported, and continue shaping the next generation of leaders through high school athletics.
